My two weeks in the UK 🇬🇧

A picture's worth a thousand words. I'm a terrible photographer, but hey, that's 54,000 words for you. Enjoy! Initially, I was too lazy to write a proper post, I just wanted to share the photos I took. But I figured I should probably add at least some context. So here we go!
Nature in Scotland. My favorite part of the trip, tbh. Everything looks straight out of a movie. Since this was my first time visiting Europe, it was an incredibly eye-opening experience. It gives off major GOT / LOTR vibes (Fun fact: did you know that the Red Wedding was inspired by a real-life massacre that happened in Glencoe?). I absolutely loved it here! Only spent about three days exploring these places, and I really wish it could've been longer.
Edinburgh. Easily my favorite city in the UK (admittedly, I haven't been to many, but it is way better than London). It has such a cool vibe. Walked around the city, visited most of the main tourist spots, and even stopped by The Elephant House, which is where J.K. Rowling wrote the early Harry Potter books (I think)!
Oxford. I was here for summer school, and I absolutely loved it. The place just exudes a heavy academic atmosphere, which, considering its history (no shit, Sherlock), and the fact that college buildings are scattered everywhere, makes complete sense. The second-to-last picture is from New College, which is where Draco Malfoy sat in the tree in the forth Harry Potter movie. Overall, the town was incredibly unique and cool, and I really enjoyed my time there.
London. It's not a bad place, it was just my least favorite spot on the trip. The city was packed with tourists, and it was surprisingly hot (hotter than Malaysia!) while I was wandering around. I didn't end up doing much here.
Canterbury and the White Cliffs. A small town located about two hours away from London. It looks straight out of a fairytale, complete with flowers, quiet canals, and a very peaceful vibe. Other than its charm, though, there isn't a whole lot to do. I spent a few hours in town before taking a cab to the White Cliffs. The views were nice, and walking along them was great exercise!
Hastings and Rye. Two other coastal towns located about two hours away from London, and only 30 minutes apart from each other. There isn't a ton to do in either town, but the sunset views in Hastings were absolutely stunning. I loved the views!
